Sometimes purchasing a big name computer from an electronics store or direct isn't the best idea. Many of these big name brands do a great job in marketing, but leave much to be desired in the actual performance and reliability of the computer. These computers are often built with shoddy materials and hardware that performs terribly. The specifications that are being advertised often seem great for the price; however, it's the numbers they don't advertise that enable these companies to keep selling computers!
Specifications like hard drive seek time, ram timings, motherboard bus speeds, just to name a few, are undisclosed by these large companies. Good thing, because then they sure would look slow compared to the numbers on name brand hardware!
